Daryl Braham Named REALTOR® of the Year in both Minnesota and North Dakota

 

Edina, MN - October 15, 2009 - Each year, the Minnesota Association of REALTORS® honors a member who has generously given up many hours of their time to the REALTOR® organization and their community.

This year, at the 2010 Awards and Installation Luncheon which was held at the Doubletree Hotel in Minneapolis, Daryl Braham, a REALTOR® with Prudential Premier Real Estate in Fargo, ND was awarded this honor.

Candidates must be involved at all levels of the REALTOR® organization.  This includes the local, state and national associations.  This year, Mr. Braham surpassed six other outstanding candidates to be named REALTOR® of the Year.  Braham is a licensed REALTOR® in both Minnesota and North Dakota and is a member of both state associations.  His outstanding commitment in both states earned him REALTOR® of the Year honors in Minnesota and North Dakota.

At the local level, Braham has served on the Fargo-Moorhead Area Association's Board of Directors, Financial Review Committee, Governmental Affairs Committee, RPAC Committee and is a Past President of the Board.

At the MN state level, he attended Legislative Impact Day, attended MNAR Professional Standards Training, served on the MNAR Board of Directors, Nominating Committee, and Finance Committee and is a 2009 contributor to RPAC.

At the national level, Braham attended the NAR Convention and the Mid-Year Legislative Meetings.  He is currently serving as an NAR Director, is a member of the 2009 ML Policy Committee, Chair of the 2009 ML Policy Forum and served on the 2009 Presidential Advisory group for MLS issues.

In addition to his commitment to the REALTOR® organization, Braham's civic activities include participating in the 2009 Extreme Makeover project in Louisiana.   He founded and conducted the "1st Annual Holiday Event", which sponsored 10 families in his community to a weekend stay at the Holiday Day Inn, breakfast with Santa, a movie and Christmas gifts to all the family members.  In August, Braham coordinated a fund raising golf tournament to benefit the "Sunshine Kids Foundation" and also is active in "Access of Red River Valley" which offers assistance to young adults with disabilities.
